A really superb sparkling Loire, dry but not aggressive, produced from Chenin Blanc in the small village of Martigne-Briand, close to the town of Saumur. The wine has a beautifully fragrant bouquet and is clean, fresh and lively on the palate.

After a long search, we have at last found a really good quality, inexpensive French sparkling wine. <br>Made in Alsace, Imperial Carte d’Or is a clean, fresh and lively wine. It is perfect for mixing with fresh orange juice, or a fruit liqueur such as cassis or mure, and when well chilled is excellent to drink ‘neat’. >!!

For many years Letourneau was a pepinieriste or vine cultivator in Champagne, and he is a close friend of Grand Cru Champagne producer Michel Arnould. Perhaps this accounts for his great skill in producing sparkling wine in the Maconnais. <br>His sparkling white Burgundy is produced from 100% Chardonnay in the small village of Burgy, just north of Macon. It has a wonderfully clean, fresh nose and great balance of body and acidity. <>!!

We have selected an excellent wine produced by Champagne House Herard, made in the traditional Champagne method, but with grapes grown outside the designated area. <br>This blanc de blancs is produced from a high proportion of the Ugni Blanc which, although a relatively simple grape variety, is ideal for the production of a clean, crisp sparkling wine. >!!

A really fabulous sparkling rose wine from Austria’s top producer, Willi Opitz. This Fizzy Willy is made from the Zweigelt grape variety, it is dry and fresh with a beautiful balance of fruit and acidity. A real top class sparkling wine.
